Wing Chun "Butterfly knives"
Bart Cham Dao
When instructor Stephen Dyde was in China he visited master sword maker Zu Jin Lin. He used a pair of Ip Chun's butterfly knives to have some new Dao made. The quality of the weapons are phenomenal and the design is flawless. They have brass rounded hand guards for easy rotation of the blade with the thumb. The weight is towards the front of the blade as it should be for Wing Chun knife strikes and the handles are riveted for strength. They are comfy and easy to spin round to a reverse grip as required in the Bart Cham Dao form. The blades are made from the same steel Japanese swords are made from and have Wing Chun Kuen engraved on the side in a traditional Canji. They come in a presentation box with cleaning oil and a certificate of authenticity.
